Indori Dil Se

In my last decade and a half’s association with Indore, with every new dawn has come a revelation. Coming from the capital of the country I thought I knew it all. But little did I know that, somewhere in Madhya Pradesh, would be a city which would never cease to surprise me. I have seen business and people nurture and prosper here, like nowhere else. This city appreciates hard work and intellect. The inherent quality of this place is that they know a good prospect, when they see one. This city thrives on its vivacity and inclination to adapt a cult therefore it is a ‘Melting Pot’ of education, literature, history and contemporary thought and progress. From being a contended homemaker to a very successful entrepreneur, I have gathered only one mandate from this city, dream and dare to accomplish then you are not alone.

For me the city has given all the right reasons to seek friends and associations. It offers one infinite options as per one’s mood swings. You are deliriously happy…hit one of the many nightclubs or lounges and eating joints. You are wanting to spend some quality time with your loved ones…you have to choose between Wanchu Point, Choral, Mandu and the list goes on and if one is an avid theatre, literature or art enthusiast, one can always seek to quench one’s hunger at any of the events and exhibits going on in the city. I have always given credit to this city to let people be who they are. Indore has never forced or coaxed anyone to change one’s lifestyle.

Personally for me it has only made me realise that what I am not because of the complacency that Malwa is famous for but for the love of amalgamating the new with the old. Indore is like a connoisseur who wants to partake every new offering that all its patrons have to offer.

Vive la Indore.
